What Texas Holdem?


Texas Holdem is the most popular game played around the world. This variant of game can be easily played in casino as well as online poker room. Simple and fast paced poker game, Holdem requires minimum of 2 players and a maximum of ten players to play the game. Bets, which are blind or ante are placed in the pot and then each player is dealt two hole cards, face down, by the dealer and five community cards are dealt face up on the table. The five cards placed on the table can be used by all players and the player who first makes the highest five card poker hand is the winner of the pot. The game continues with the next person in a clockwise sequence becoming the dealer.

Texas Holdem is the only card game, which has reached global popularity that the championships series of Texas Holdem attracts viewers of all ages and from different parts of the world. It is one of the most famous forms of poker game and is often known as just Holdem. Texas Holdem is considered as a community card game where player uses deck of cards and he can use or discard any combination of cards to form a hand. This game starts off with the 2 initial cards, which players slowly build up to achieve 5 cards, with betting carried on in between. The aim of player in this game is to create the best possible five card poker hand out of two private cards and five community cards. At any point of the game the players are free to withdraw from the game.


Types of Betting in Texas Holdem


There are two types of betting in Texas Holdem like Fixed Limit and No-Limit. In other or simpler words fixed limit poker has fixed betting limits and a limit is fixed for the maximum allowed bet. Whereas a no-limit table means that there no betting limits and players can raise their entire pot every bet they wished. Fixed limit betting is less popular but this type of betting is ideal for the learner since they can't be drawn into large bets by other players. The no-limit betting form of Texas Holdem poker game is mostly used in the televised event of major Poker tournaments.



Basics of Texas Holdem


Texas Holdem is an easy game to learn but difficult to master as it is a costly affair and especially in the casino poker room. But with the advent of online poker room one can practice this game for free. It is not necessary that best hand always win it is the strategy and experience that matter the most, as Texas Holdem is a psychological game that cannot be mastered in a single day. To master this game of card one need lot of practice and time in order to become accustomed with rules and strategies of the game and above all to know and understand the players with whom one has to compete. The psychological aspect of the game makes it more and more exciting where only person with strong nerves can survive and get rewarded.

Thanks for this lovely information. I know how to play texas holdem...But just not with two players....Can someone tell me and give examples plz?
